Sportra
Sportra is the football companion we wished existed: fast live scores, clear match and team pages, standings, lineups, news, and light gameplay like predictions and leaderboards. We built it for fans first—easy to browse on a busy Saturday, trustworthy when the score changes in the 89th minute, and deep enough when you want stats and context. Under the hood we use Next.js and Django so the site stays quick and secure; we’re especially proud of how live matchday data stays in sync and of Sportra Intelligence, our layer of match insights that go beyond raw numbers. A dedicated Telegram bot is in development so the same experience can meet you where you already chat during games.

Sportra is a live football platform for anyone who loves the game—not just data nerds. Open the site and see today’s fixtures, follow scores as they happen, dive into matches, teams, players, leagues, and coaches, read news, and join in with predictions and leaderboards. It feels close to the live-score apps millions of fans already use, but it’s ours: tuned for speed, clarity, and trust on matchday.
Why we’re excited
Matchday should feel electric, not confusing. We obsessed over live scores that update smoothly, pages that load quickly, and insights that help you understand what’s happening in a game—not just the final number. That’s what Sportra Intelligence is for: thoughtful match and player signals layered on top of solid data, so browsing feels informed and fun.

How we built it (in plain terms)
The website is built with Next.js—modern, fast, and good for the kind of rich pages fans expect. The backend is Django, handling accounts, football data, news, and gameplay in one place. Data is stored in PostgreSQL, with Redis helping live matchday feel snappy. Behind the scenes, automated jobs keep fixtures, stats, and odds fresh throughout the day and season.
We split the work deliberately: a polished fan-facing site and a reliable data engine underneath, so we can improve each side without breaking the matchday experience.
Telegram (in development)
We’re building a Sportra bot for Telegram so you can get live scores, reminders, and bite-sized insights without leaving your chats—using the same trustworthy data as sportra.app. Perfect for checking the game from the sofa, the pub, or the stands.
